Brief: Make better use of the BT tower

The BT Tower is a British icon but faces obsolescence as communication becomes digital.

As well as being a much loved building it also contains a huge amount of embodied carbon. It makes no sense to demolish it but can we get better utility from the structure and opportunity?

Our proposal is to augment the existing tower so that visitors can circulate up the tower, pausing to take in the incredible views, before arriving at a series of indoor and outdoor viewing galleries at the top.

This reimagining of a much loved asset would bring it back into popular use and extend its purpose for another 100 years.
