We are thrilled to announce that Able Partners, in collaboration with Elliott Wood’s young practitioners, has won the London Festival of Architecture’s (LFA) ‘Welcome to Warren Street’ competition. This exciting achievement begins a transformative project to reimagine the public realm around Warren Street in Fitzrovia.
Our winning design proposal stood out for its bold vision, playful approach, and deep understanding of the area's unique character. The design aims to create a welcoming and vibrant space that enhances the sense of community, connectivity, and identity around Warren Street. Focusing on improving the public realm, the proposal integrates thoughtful architectural interventions, green spaces, and creative urban elements that reflect the local context and culture.
The competition was judged by a distinguished jury chaired by Peter Murray OBE (NLA), with other members including Lee Lyons (The Fitzrovia Partnership), Lavinia Scaletti (Camden Council), Mark Hart (Transport for London), David Byrne (The Doctors Laboratory), and Ruchi Chakravarty. Their feedback highlighted the strength of our proposal and its potential to make a meaningful impact on the area.
We are excited to work closely with The Fitzrovia Partnership and other stakeholders to bring this vision to life. The project represents a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the ongoing regeneration of Fitzrovia and create a space that will benefit both residents and visitors alike.
