CONCEPT - THE ATTENBOROUGH LINE

The public realm is the most important real estate in London. A disproportional amount of this increasingly busy space is given over to legacy uses from the twentieth century, such as roads for private cars and parking.

Let's give London the future it deserves by creating a pedestrian superhighway running straight through the capital, creating spaces to play, interact, rest, eat, compete, watch, dance, and thrive.

The ATTENBOROUGH LINE will be a new piece of infrastructure for London. It will start at the Old Street roundabout and continue directly west through Clerkenwell, Farringdon, Holborn, New Oxford Street, and Oxford Street before terminating in Marble Arch.

Lifting mass transit off the ground plane with cable cars, creating generous cycle lanes for 2 and 4 wheeled electric bicycles, the new ATTENBOROUGH LINE will be a wide boulevard that will house all kinds of natural elements and spaces for community activities. We will create a city-wide urban activation that will be as inclusive as it is atmospheric. From open-air auditoriums to arboretums, from boules to boulevards, this is a chance to create a true future city that will cement London as progressive, innovative and brave.

This is infrastructure for the 21st Century.
