Last week, a team from Able Partners attended the Smart City Expo in Barcelona, an inspiring global event showcasing the future of urban development and innovation. This renowned conference brought together thought leaders, policymakers, and innovators to explore how technology and design can shape smarter, more sustainable cities.
The team gained unique insights into the transformative potential of smart cities, from cutting-edge mobility solutions to groundbreaking energy systems and data-driven urban planning. Keynote speakers and panel discussions provided a compelling vision of how cities can evolve to become more efficient, inclusive, and resilient in the face of tomorrow’s challenges.
A highlight of the event was the opportunity to engage with existing clients and forge relationships with new stakeholders from around the world. These conversations emphasised the importance of collaboration in tackling the complex issues cities face today, such as sustainability, connectivity, and social equity.
Our CEO, Bill Webb, was invited by the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia to present Able Partners’ innovative scheme for Hangar 21. This landmark project exemplifies our commitment to creating bold, future-ready spaces honouring their context and heritage. Bill’s presentation was met with enthusiasm from the Italian delegation, and we’re thrilled to continue collaborating with them to bring this visionary project to life.
